Honeymoon in Palawan: Two Seasons Island Resort and Spa

Let me share with you our amazing time in paradise last 2015—our wedding honeymoon! We had the privilege of spending our honeymoon in a private luxury island resort in Two Seasons in Coron Palawan, thanks to our Ninang Ria who gave us this special wedding gift.Thank you Ninang!!!

September 9, 2015, three days after our wedding and we were still on a high, we flew to Palawan for our very first *legit* getaway! We were so excited! Once landed in Busuanga Airport, we were welcomed and picked up by the staff from Two Seasons and brought us to our own van. From this very start, you will already feel luxury. The driver was very helpful and friendly, and the van is spacious and are all pilot seats. Upon reaching their own dock, we were guided and transferred to our private speedboat and were given towels in case of some splash during the ride 🙂 We took some photos as we enjoy the beautiful view (there’s just so much to see in Coron!!).

After a good 45-minute ride, we approached the 16-hectare island! And so the relaxation begins… Welcome to paradise!!!

This is our bungalow, just few steps from the main entrance and the restaurant. From here, the phone signal is poor or sometimes none at all! Also, there is no wifi (only in their lobby). Hmm.. I realized, this is really a place for honeymooners–pure quality time! *wink* Well I guess this is what a relaxing vacation is all about, a time-out not only from our busy schedules but also from calls/texts, & social media updates.

Snorkeling time!!! We swam in 10ft deep but we did not go that far since Jay saw an unusual creature…  Haha we don’t know what it is, but better be safe than sorry!

Paddle boarding FTW! 🙂

It’s my first time to try paddle boarding! ..and I forgot I’m still wearing my lifevest :p

Food there was also yummy! My favorite would have to be their big breakfast plate (#teambrekky always)! Breakfast is served ala-carte since it’s off-peak; but during peak season, they have breakfast buffet.

Unlike the other guests (there were only two other couples in this big island), they decided to tour Coron islands.. While we decided to stay and enjoy the place all to ourselves! We wanted to treasure the moment and relax. Plus it’s not everyday we get to have this luxury! But we will definitely go back to Coron and tour next time since I know this is a must! 🙂

We have to give shout-outs to the staff of this resort who were extra hospitable to us! Thank you guys! Our stay turned out perfectly and I wish we can go back here in the future together with our little one. We really had a great time, three days were not enough! ❤

Expecting… :)

The past few days have been a bit difficult for me as I feel more body pains here and there (even on my sleep).. But the excitement of finally seeing my baby still overpowers all of these. I’m on my 37th week now, ready to give birth anytime soon. My doctor said to watch out for the signs (water leak, blood discharge, and/or regular contractions that goes on for 15mins or less–and doesn’t go away even if I take a rest). Although she also told me that not everyone goes through the same experience; so to be safe, if in doubt, better to go to the hospital. The least that can happen is they will send me home if I’m not yet ready to pop anyway.

So I’m writing this blog post also to share how thankful I am for all the love and support I’ve been getting from family and friends. I have celebrated two baby showers, and received baby gifts!! Many items from my checklist have been crossed out! You guys are AMAZING!!! Baby stuff are so adorable especially those small cutie clothes! Excited to wear them all to Baby Sweepea! Thank you again, and we do appreciate your prayers for my safe delivery!

The coming of this little one is the perfect 30th Birthday & First Wedding Anniversary gift God has given me and Jay!

I can’t wait to see you and hold you in my arms soon, my love, my little Julian!!!

New Beginnings

Finally I’m here in WordPress! Going back to something I’ve loved doing~ writing/blogging. After all the site hopping and inspiration I get from different bloggers, I hope I’m taking this step on blogging consistently. Excited that I have now moved in this better platform, so let’s see how it goes!

Oh btw, it’s still the same.. Just goodvibes 🙂

Been thinking how I’m supposed to publish my first post here.. Is it (a) to just say, “Hi! I’m blogging again, and now in WordPress!” or via (b) THE blog post of our wedding details (I know I promised I would blog about it; share our list of suppliers and experiences with them, our gameplan and researches..but huhu, blame it to the #procrastinatingME.. Some have been asking me about it but I still don’t have a draft of it. Sorry! 😦 Working on it soon!) Then I realized, I can’t do (b) cos either I will rush drafting it or I will only prolong launching this blog. So I decided to do (a) with some “Life Lately” post:

Life Lately

  • Married for 9 months now! Good & bad, ups & downs everyday. But can’t complain.. 10 years + everafter?! Why not! #mayforever
  • I am 6 months preggy (yay!!!) and we couldn’t contain our excitement for the coming of Our Sweet Potato or we call “Sweepea” while we don’t have a name for him/her yet. Do you think it’s a boy or a girl? 🙂
  • Gaining pounds. My tummy is growing bigger and I’m gaining a lot of weight from the big appetite I have right now! Waaah! I’m thankful though cos it’s a sign of a growing baby inside me. 🙂
  • Living and doing things on our own while paying for the amortization, bills, food, and everything else…have been very liberating! Especially so that we got our own place [thank You Lord for the gift of a new home!]. It’s not as easy as it looks, and I guess there are days I feel like we’re struggling-but in a good way.  You know what they say, “It’s the hard that makes it great.” I have to give credits too to the husband who makes this teamwork possible ❤

So far that’s about it lately! Not much in bullets, but in reality, it’s been a fast rollercoaster ride ever since I got married!

Yup I’m engaged ♥

In case you haven’t heard..though I’ve mentioned it a lot in my facebook, twitter and instagram–I’m engaged!!!!!!!

The other ring is our couple ring we both have been wearing for years.

The boyfriend proposed to me on his birthday! See video here.

It was such a well-organized and planned event, I totally had no idea that it’s going to be the day he will ask me. It was January 14, his birthday and we have both agreed to celebrate it with a dinner date, just the two of us, at the Vivere Hotel rooftop restaurant called The Nest. I took a leave from work because I don’t want to end up cancelling on the last minute because of [surprise] OT. By 4pm, he was telling me he was feeling lazy to celebrate. I got a little pissed cos I felt I wasted my leave from work (that’s why I texted that message in the video haha) and got lazy too so I took a nap instead. Then after an hour, he woke me up saying sorry and that he’s about to pick me up already. So I hurried, prepared and dressed up. I didn’t take time to look for an outfit or put on nice make up or even blowdry my hair. Nothing fancy! Haha. Although at the back of my mind, I actually wanted to wear my white flowy dress but I don’t know why I didn’t(!!!!!). I even wore flats! Haha. Thanks for Jay’s acting, I was literally tinatamad na din :)) But even though I felt that way, I was in a good mood! He picked me up and we were both happy to see each other and excited to eat at Vivere (btw we super love their mussels rockefeller).

So we ordered (a lot actually) and when we started eating, Jay said his stomach is aching and had to go excuse himself twice. I didn’t mind because it usually happens (hahaha). I was eating alone, playing some game in my phone…when all of a sudden, people came in this order:

  • closest friends–when I saw them, I still didn’t have a clue, I just thought Jay invited them
  • my bestfriend–who I haven’t seen in a while! Actually she was the big clue! I was asking why they were there and she was teary-eyed :)) aside from the fact that they were forming a line in front of me and wanted me to just stay where I was
  • his (big) family–almost complete…aaww 🙂
  • my family, bringing a bouquet of roses

I was happy to see everyone! All our families and special friends were there to witness the moment.

Then there was a background music played by a live band, and HE came walking towards me singing Grow Old With You. Then he said his speech. At that moment, I honestly can’t keep up… Everything was a blur and slo-mo! But it wasn’t, it was happening all at once! That’s why I’m super thankful for the video coverage!!! Because of it, I can forever remember what he said in his speech!!! Then he knelt down on his knee, showed me the ring and asked, “Babe, will you marry me?” My mind was slowly processing..also explains why I paused for a while! Haha. I thought about everything…all the good times and the bad. This guy is not just my boyfriend, he is my bestfriend. I am happy to be marrying my lover and my friend, someone who have made me feel really special since Day 1, who I’ve been with for the past 9 years on the ups and downs of my life. God knows we’ve been through a lot!!!! He asked once again.. Then I came into my senses, and softly I said, “Yes.” :’)
